The backgrounds list screen

“Background” is defined as a combination of a set of colors (for the input controls), with a background image or background color for the page itself.

Backgrounds are used to determine two things: how the editing/reading screens of records of the various types will appear, and how the editing screens of the system tables’ data will appear:

To determine how the record screens will be displayed, you must associate a “background” with the “form type” from which the record is created, from the form editor screen.
To determine which background will be used for editing the system tables’ data, you must turn on an appropriate flag from the dialog window – adding or editing a background.

This screen displays the list of backgrounds in the system, so that you can: add a background, edit a background, or delete a background. The actions of adding or editing lead to the “dialog window – adding or editing a background” screen [see here].

The delete action is dangerous and therefore it is recommended not to perform it without absolute confirmation that it is necessary.
